How to take my camera and get the pictures onto my laptop?

I have this school project. And I took pictures of me and all. Well now I need to print them. But I have to get them onto my computer first. I have the USB or whatever cord name it has plugged in to the camera and laptop. I turned it on and everything but nothing comes up. The camera is a Nikon Coolpix L26. Help? Please? Thanks!

Why won't my Nikon coolpix s3000 charge? - 1

I have a nikon coolpix s3000 and I haven't used it in since june so obviously when I tried to turn it on about 2 months ago the battery died very quickly. I then realized that I lost my charger and just got a new one to plug into the computer to charge. I plugged it in to my laptop and it downloaded the drivers.It then had the flashing green light that indicates charging it, but after about five minutes it stops. I then try to turn it on and it doesn't work.Is my battery exhausted?
I am also in a dorm room so the internet is really slow, but I don't think that makes a difference.It doesn't even acknowledge that it is connected to my laptop. Please help, I don't want to buy a new battery if that isn't the problem.

I ordered another charger but now my camera wont even switch on. When the charger is plugged in the camera does not flash that its charging? My camera is just over a year old, iv already paid for a charger do you think i need a new battery?

Problem with my camera (Nikon coolpix s3000)?

I have nikon coolplix s3000. We purchased it in 2009 (something between August and September)
There has never been any problem with it and it worked perfectly fine the last few days but since the day before yesterday, it is not turning on… its battery was low but not completely exhausted! when we plug it to the charger or to the computer the battery light just blinks twice or thrice and then nothing happens.the computer shows the camera icon but it doesn't open!
What is the problem with it?

I am planning on buying a new camera; however I am not sure which one of these two is better; Nikon CoolPix AW100 or Sony DSC-TX20.
I want the camera to be waterproof, but the picture quality also has to be excellent and the camera should be good at focusing (especially macro). Also, the video recording must be good quality.

Help with a Nikon Coolpix p510, Panorama Capabilities?

Okay, so I think the title pretty much explains it, but I have a Nikon Coolpix p510 and I was wondering if it has the capability to take a panoramic photograph. If it does, how would one go about setting that?
For those of you who are going to say 'read the instructions that came with it', I have.It wasn't there.
Added (1). No, it did not come with a 175 or however many page owner's manual.It came with a short booklet as a startup manual.
Added (2). Also, it came with no disks. Even if it came with disks, I couldn't use them because my computer is a MacBook Air and has no disk drive.

Hello! I'm into amateur photography and film and I currently use a Nikon COOLPIX L310 ($300). I had an Olympus and it worked great but not for film.My Nikon is great but my battery sucks. My Nikon Coolpix S100 won't charge!

I bought a Nikon Coolpix S100 not even 2 years ago. I ran the battery until the camera said that the battery was exhausted.It`s done this before, but it's always turned back on. Now even when I charge it on the wall or on my laptop, it will charge for nearly a minute and then the green light will start blinking again to indicate that the battery is low and needs to be charged WHEN IT'S STILL PLUGGED IN ON CHARGE.It won't take a charge and it won't turn on. I've tried to take the battery out for a couple hours but it did no good. Please help!

I am new to all of this, have been looking at cameras for a couple of days now. I understand some basic's but still lost with all the information. I have been doing tonnes of research into this camera business, but still I read review on different websites and they all seem to contradict each other. (therefore I am lost) I am a product designer and a keen traveler, so this is where a camera is needed in my life.

I am here to ask what camera you would recommend for me.

My needs are:

1. Take photos of my products.In my light box, upclose.In situ, with users in any environment.

2. Take photos of scenes when on holiday. Likely place are snowy mountains, ski runs etc and sunny places like Croatia.

3. Maybe Panorama for holiday photos.

4. Night time photos would be good to have, I would love to be able to take photos of the mountains at night time.

5.My price range is £100 - £150.

6. I have been more interested in a bridge camera that is also compact.

7. Would like to print these photos of products and mountains to mount in at least A3 and must be good quality.

I have a Nikon Coolpix S3100 digital camera. After the battery had run out when I first used it, the battery would not charge anymore. After a while of trying to figure out the problem, I just went to go get another battery. I went to take pictures today, but the camera had died.So, I charged it up. But it wouldn't charge again! The charger has a red light when I plug it in, but it never says when it is done.It doesn't charge! Please help me, I really need to take these pictures by tomorrow morning with this camera.

My nikon coolpix l310 is deleting my pics!

Whenever I take pics which are saved on my memory card… and I go back to review them I notice there are huge chunks of pics missing. For example one pic is #589 the next pic is #603.As soon as I take the pic I can go back and look at it. But after a while a bunch go missing. I uploaded the pics to my computer but they're still not there. Where did they go! Can I get them back! Is it the camera or the memory card!

Nikon l610, how does one make this into a webcam?

I have a dell inspiron e1505 laptop, and it has no webcam and i wish to skype with people, i have heard of "easycam" and other products like this - but i dont have any money to spend at all at this moment because my family is in a lot of debt since the death of a family member.
it came with 2 cords, cord 1 is just to hook up the camera to the computer to transfer my pictures and stuff and cord 2 has the red, white and yellow things like you hook up into the tv.

I'm looking for a new camera, and I don't know if I'm confused or what happened, haha.My friend recommended the Nikon Coolpix P150 for me. When I searched it up to find more information, mostly Nikon Coolpix p510 has come up. I've looked into both, and what I find with Nikon Coolpix p150 is the same pictures of the camera as the p510. My camera keeps auto focusing?

I have a nikon coolpix s220. I try and take a photo and it just sits there and auto-focuses, then it is like it is trying to take a photo, but there is no flash and there is no picture in the memory of it taking one.It just flashes AF in green writing on the screen. I have tried changing the resolution to the poorest and the best. I have changed night, day, party, close-up, whatever. I have tried zooming and and zooming out. I have tried being outdoors in the sun, changing where the light is.

I have only taken about 30 photos with this camera.Do you think it is shot? My last camera only lasted about 30 photos too. I am pretty disappointed if it is shot because all I want to do is take a photo.

No, I can't find the manual. However, it is a fairly basic model with not that many options of changing things.

Science Fiction Video Project Help?

In Science Fiction we have to do a final. I asked if i could do a video project and he said ok as long as we can find an argument and prove it. For me and my friend, were doing this together using the thematic concepts individual vs.society/survival and genetics/ technology. We are saying "Evolution is fact rather than theory when one is forced to survive." This is focusing on social darwinism and natural selection. The plot of our short film(i think 10-15 minutes hopefully) is a UFO crashes on Earth(ill be using After Effects) and releases gases into plants that release it into the air and we breath it in. People start noticing climate changes and powers start developing. I get increased sense and human abilities like endurance strength jump higher and speed, my friend gets telekinesis. Its starts out with Gabe gets his telekinesis when he gets robbed and i get jealous of his powers. I start working out and am so angry i develop a rage and can suddenly lift more. I can smell better, everything is better. I start to grow and evil inside me of jealousy and envy of others. I start thinking that im the best which refers back to social darwinism so i start attacking others.It goes on with people getting powers and help or team up with others and then try to kill others while surviving. I am going to have the end where eveyone dies. But after the credits there will be a scene where someone survived and it shows they become insanely powerful to leave you hanging at the end.So thats the plot.So far I have I think 5 people for this movie and am recruiting more hopefully. I have 4 days to write a script, film, edit, do effects, and finish the project. Its due on thursday.Do you think I could finish by then. I will hopefully film the whole movie on monday and edit tuesday and wedneday. Wednesday is a half day. We are seniors if that makes a difference so hopefully there will be good acting. Any other idea would be appreciated or a plot idea for me will help. I will be using after effects for the powers and everything. I will be using not a good camera but it is the Nikon coolpix l110.It has HD recording and hopefully i can get the wuality i want. I will be putting a cinemax look or film look is post production on this as well.So any help please. Also i may by some audio device like a boom mic if they have it at walmart tomorrow.

I have about £230 to spend - my old camera has just died and been sent back for a refund.

I will use it at pop concerts and zoo's where a large zoom is rather helpful.

I was toying with the idea of getting a DSLR but detachable lenses can get you refused entry to a gig!

My old camera was the Nikon Coolpix P500 which has a 36x zoom and this was doing the job before it decided to break.

The battery died, and I turned it on to try and take one more picture, and I put it on night landscape, and it froze, after a few minutes the picture went away, but the lens was still out. I went home and tried charging it. I've pulled out the battery, sim card, and put them back in, nothing seems to work. Please help, it's not the camera I'm worried about, it's all the pictures I would lose.

Nikon Coolpix L310 focusing problem?

I'm having a problem focusing the picture when i take them mostly at night with artificial lighting I don't do anything different then I do when I take them in the day, where it rarely happens.So I don't know if there is anything I'm doing wrong or if there are certain settings I need to change. Is a SONY Camera best for removing Jitter & Distortion?

I have a Nikon Coolpix 4100, and the Pixel count is high, but you can read the reviews. Images are grainy, and video is shaky and distorted.

What is a good recommendation for (or what is the best CMOS?) the best CMOS to control stability, and never worry about grain? I want to be able to take low, and high light level images, and video. I am a perfectionist, and everything is played back on Sony XBR TV's, and any distortion is an eye sore.

Any thoughts? I would like to stay below $600, but will go to $900 if I have to. I want pictures and video, and want perfect color accuracy with as little distortion as possible in that price bracket. I dont mind if it is large or small. I prefer small, but I need "Quality". I need quality images from at least 5 feet to 100 feet with minimal noticeable difference in PQ (Picture Quality), if any at all.

Please, do not mention any forums for me to go. I need a great camera recommendation from someone who "knows".

EDIT: For an idea of the minimal quality I'm looking for (if you're into dance… ) search Youtube for "Adele Chibi". Though shot in 720P, I see minimal distortion compared to many 1080P Video Cameras.

How to get my Nikon Coolpix L810 to perform better?

I paid $207 plus taxes for my Nikon Coolpix L810 camera and I'm getting the feeling that I got ripped off. When I take pictures without the flash, the majority of the time they end up blurry and out of focus. Even when I hold my hands almost perfectly still and whatever I'm taking a picture of is still too, the picture is still of poor quality. I'm not sure if it's because I am using the camera on the wrong setting or if the camera just sucks altogether. If you have experienced using this camera before, please let me know what your experience was like. What do you recommend I do? If I did get ripped off, what other cameras would you recommend?

What should I use to make my videos louder?

I plan to make YouTube videos, and for one of my videos I plan to interview one of my haters on why they hate me. I plan to do it outside with a really nice set, with chairs tables and even drinks. The only thing is if I'm outdoors I know my microphone on my Nikon CoolPix Digital camera will not pick up my voice and be very buffered. Should I buy microphones and if so how would I use them and hook them up?

I really like what I've seen about this camera so far, but I wanted to ask for some expert opinions.

Mainly I like the ability to take pictures from far away.Is a "super zoom" camera like this the best way to go? I'd like to stay in the $300-400 range, but if someone can suggest a better camera, that would be awesome.

Problems with my nikon s8100.help?

I was given a brand new nikon s8100 that apparently stopped working.It took 15 pictures then was put on charge for a few hours, when they tried to turn it on it showed a battery with a circle around it and a line through the battery.just wondering what might be wrong. Need help deciding between 2 completely different cameras?

As previously stated, I'm having trouble deciding between 2 cameras. One is the Sony Cyber-shot DSC-TX66 and the other is the Nikon P510. I don't necessarily need a point-and-shoot camera because I have my cell phone for that but the Cyber-shot has 18.2 megapixels, whereas the Nikon has 16.1. I don't know much about cameras but I was always told megapixels are very important. And the prices don't matter much; I can get both cameras for $300. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Nikon Coolpix s4300 taking solid white pictures?

So, today, I took my camera outside and everything was fine. The lens then got cloudy (my assumption is from either accidentally leaving it in the car for a couple hours when it was cold or taking pictures in the fog the other night) and I left it alone for a couple hours so it could clear up.It did, but when I turned it back on, it took normal pictures for a while and started taking nearly solid white ones. How do I fix it?

Nikon Coolpix s4300 lens cloudy?

I got a Nikon Coolpix s4300 for Christmas from my boyfriend, and never had any problems with it up until today. I took it outside and was taking pictures, and all of a sudden, the lens turned cloudy. You can see it from the outside and it looks white. I'm thinking it could be condensation, but I don't ever remember getting it wet. The only thing I can think of that might have caused it is leaving it in the car (it was in a case) when it was freezing cold, but again, it never caused any problems before.It was only in the car for a few hours. I do have a warranty on it, but I was wondering how I would go about fixing it.

I'm looking for a digital camera that is smaller or thinner is size, takes high quality pictures, and is capable of capturing still images while shooting video. My Camera Won't Record?

Nikon uploads blank pictures?

I have a brand new Nikon Coolpix S3200. Just recently, when I try to upload the pictures to Facebook, they upload as blank/black pictures instead. I have even tried formatting the memory card. They show up on my camera and computer just fine, but on Facebook, it does not work.It worked last week. I haven't touched it since last week, but now it doesn't seem to work.

My nikon coolpix s2600 won't charge. It only says Battery Exhausted?

My nikon isnt charging its one of those little portable Nikons that are WAAY smaller and cheaper. I've plugged it into both the wall and the computer using the USB but it wont work.It just temperarily turns on and displays "Battery exhausted".It wont showing the little flashing lightning bolt thing turn green.only the ON/OFF button will flash than turn off. When i play the videos i have uploaded to my laptop from my nikon coolpix p500, the video plays in slow motion and is choppy but the audio plays at the correct rate. Display screen looks grainy on my new camera?

I just got a Sony Cyber Shot W690 and when I look at the screen the picture looks grainy but I actually take the photo and view it it's fine but otherwise it's quite annoying.Is it normal, can I do something about it or maybe it's because I'm indoors? :/ However I don't remember my other camera being like this, it was a Nikon Coolpix s6100.

Need help choosing a camera? - 1

I was hoping someone can give me some input on a camera- I mainly would be using it for taking pictures of my 2 little ones and all that they do! I was leaning towards a SLR.In particular the Nikon D3100, D5100 or Canon T3. I feel very overwhelmed by the choices! If I go with a SLR, is the standard lens that comes with it good enought for what I need? I also want to have the option to blur out the background in the pictures of the kids. I was also checking out a Nikon Coolpix P510 which is not a SLR. I am trying to get the most for my money and not spend more than $500-$550..Any info would be greatly appreciated! Even if it is negative! By the way, I have no experience other than with a simple point and shoot camera but I'm willing to learn! I must sound so clueless but would love for someone to point me in the right direction..thank you

How to fix stripped tripod port in camera?

Just got a camera about a week ago, Nikon aw100. And I used a tripod pole thing and now the hole is stripped.It's made of cheap plastic. Not metal. I don't want to send it for repair cuz it's will cost over 100.

Is there a way to fix it. I want the same 1/4 inch hole so I can use my grenade grip tripod pole with the tripod attachment.

Thought of getting some JB weld and fill in the hole. Then put the screw in and let it set then unscrew it. But i don't know what to put on the screw so it can come back out.

Any suggestions for anything or opinions?

I like the look of the Canon the best especially with the pop-up flash. Not sure why exactly I like the look best, but I do. Another appeal is that I wouldn't have to spend any money, the card should cover all expenses on it.

Panasonic seems to be getting the best ratings out of the 3 from what I'm seeing. I know it's my preference for television brands, but I haven't heard much about it in the camera world.

I like the Nikon due to it's resistant nature. However, I purchased a waterproof fujifilm last year, specs looked alright for the price but aside from underwater shots the thing is essentially a paperweight. Cannot get any sort of quality out of it, so I am a little reluctant.

I'm 13, and I have always had an eye for art. I've tried drawing and that just does not work, and I thought of photography. I just thought it would be fun but I wouldn't ever do it. I have been taking pictures of my baby sister, and I guess they are good I just need more practice.So what I'm wondering is, how can I get better? I need more angles, and more ways to be creative, but I just don't know how to find them! I'm really only wanting to take pictures like of people, or maybe nature. Also, do I need to edit? I want something of high quality that I can upgrade from my regular point and shoot. I have photography experience, but that was with film and, well, that's just too much of a process for me. I want the DSLR quality without the price. I'll also be taking a lot of action shots, so that is the deal breaker for me.It will be used primarily for horse shows and daily life.So I'd like to go with whichever one is better for action as well as better all-around. But let me know what you think of the two. Pros, cons, the whole she-bang.It'd really help. Thanks!

I have recently bought a Nikon Coolpix L810 and I want to know what the best setting is for people riding bikes? I used the sport mode on a cat walking and it was so blurry and everything so I dont know whether it would be better on bikes? Anyone have this camera and taken bike pics before???

Nikon Coolpix S1000pj vs sony hdr-pj260v?

Hello,

So I want to buy either a camera or camcorder, I honestly don't care, as long as they both can take pics and videos and have projectors.So I am deciding if I should get the Nikon Coolpix S1000pj or sony hdr-pj260v but don't know which one. mean they both have projectors and suit my needs but I cant decide. The Nikon Coolpix S1000pj has more megapixels which makes the pictures nicer but I still can't decide! Which has higher quality?

How to mute the system sounds on a Nikon Coolpix L310?

I recently bought a Nikon L310, and during the original setup I didn't think to lower the eh, sounds on it. And now that its been setup, its annoying the crap out of me so is there a way to mute it now?
