Camera pros/Photographers: Feedback?

Looking to buy a good quality, inexpensive camera ASAP

It needs to be:
>under $200, +/-
>at least 14 MP
>rechargeable (I plan on using it a lot and don't want to deal with carrying/purchasing replacement batteries often)
>not too bulky
>at least 6x optical zoom
>at least 4x digital zoom
>LCD screen
>Image stabilization/vibration reduction

Mainly going to be used for yearbook photography over the next several months. We're trying to get the book to suck marginally less. So, lots of action shots and instantaneous candids. Events like high school rallies, talent show, drama productions, soccer, etc. You get the idea

Considering a few that meet my requirements, ranging from $82-215, just looking for user feedback.

Which of these digital cameras would be better?

I am looking for a good digital camera to use at the concerts I go to. One that will give me clear and great looking pics. I don't know much about cameras which is why I am asking. And if you have a better suggestion in the same price range as these feel free to tell me.

Nikon coolpix S2500 SD card problem?

Normally when you push in the SD card there's a little clic and it stays in…
On my wife's camara… when I insert the SD card suddenly there's no clic and I have to jam the card in using the flip up battery cover.
Not really a problem but I hate stuff that dont work properly… has this happen to anybody and is there an "easy" way to fix it.without taking the camera apart !!! or taking it back to the shop as its only 3 months old.
