Getting a camera NIkon or Canon!

I need to get a camera and i was looking for one with a good zoom and video Quality i was thinking of getting the Nikon coolpix S6300 or a Canon but i wasn't sure which was better. I was also looking a the Panasonic Lumix DMC-ZS3 Is that good good one or a good brand at least! pleease help !! :)

please help me to choose, i must end buying one now.anybody there??? i want fine photo quality and zoom atleast 10X..optical.

Why won't my Nikon Coolpix S3000 charge?

A little background on my camera: I bought it in June 2010 and it has always worked fine. This May, however, the battery was dead and wouldn't charge or anything, so I bought a new battery in July. The new battery worked for a while.It's only been a month and I only used it once, since July, and now my camera won't charge again.Do you think it's a problem with my camera or battery?

Why does the 16 gb memory card have so little minutes for video?

I just got my nikon coolpix l810 and i also bought a 16 gigabyte memory card.the pro: i can take 3000+ pictures.con: i can only record 29 minutes in a video… i need way more than 29 minutes cuz im going to a concert soon and memory cards are so pricy! is this cause of the settings on my camera or does 16 gb's only take up 29 mins for video?

How to Fix a lens error on the Nikon Coolpix S6000?

Well my sister went on vacation to the beach and she said while she was there her camera kept saying "lens error". What happens is when you turn it on the lens barrel extends and then goes back in and then the screen says "lens error". Any way to fix this?

Canon EOS1000D (Rebel XS) or Nikon P100?

I'm planning to pick a camera which is little more than point & shoot digital cam. I'm little interested in photography & am willing to spend time experimenting with a host of different features. Which one should I go for - Canon EOS1000D(rebel XS) or the Nikon Coolpix P100? Please suggest
