My Nikon Coolpix L840 won't take any pictures?

I just got a Nikon Coolpix L840 for Christmas. It came with batteries and a (obviously) compatible Memory Card(SanDisk). I tested it out yesterday and managed to take one single picture, and even tried it's video as well. I can take pictures and hear the shutter sound, and the image pops up, but when I hit the 'playback' button it says "Memory contains no images". I'm not sure if I changed something unknowingly or what.
If someone could help, I would be forever grateful. Thanks.

Which Camera would be better to get? - 1

Hi, I want to buy a camera and I m not sure if I should go with a Nikon COOLPIX L840 with a 16 MP, a 3" LCD, 38X zoom and WIFI or a Sony with a 20.1 MP, a 3" LCD, 35X zoom and 720p MOVIE. If you could please give me reasons to which is better that would be great please and thank you.

How to get my Nikon Coolpix digital camera pictures to show up on the computer?

So I just bought a Nikon CoolPix Touchscreen digital camera and took it to Florida on vacation. I took a LOT of pictures but when I hook it up with the USB to our iMac the pictures don't show up on iPhoto or Nikon Transfer. I'm getting really frustrated. Please help! :/

The only one I can find is the Nikon P7700 and that range. Does anyone know other brands?

Good DSLR camera for an art student?

I currently have a Nikon Coolpix L820, which is okay for the time being and it was super cheap, but it's a few years old now and runs out of battery really quickly. I'm looking for a good dlsr camera for photography and maybe a little film. The camera I currently have runs on batteries which is super annoying, so I'm thinking about buying a newer one that just charges.

Where can I get one what would be a good model for a budget of $350 and under?
(preferably one with a good/long battery life)

Fujifilm Finepix S8600 vs Nikon Coolpix L840?

Alright, I've limited my choice of camera between the two. I'm a game developer so I use cameras to take high quality pictures that I'll turn into textures for a video game, quality and lighting is very important in that situation. I'll also take pictures for references when making 3D models and stuff. I can't determine which of the two is better, I like Nikon because it has that great and trustworthy brand name and the S8600 looks particularly weirdly designed to me when the lenses are fully out, while the Nikon looks really good all around (look at a top perspective of the S8600 if you don't know what I'm talking about.) I don't really record, but it's a good feature to have whenever I need it, so I'm glad the L840 records in full HD.

What would you guys choose?

ADVICE? I want to be a photographer?

Hi I'm 15 & just got my first camera. I wanted one for 3-4 years now & was stuck with an iPhone camera. The camera I got is a Nikon Coolpix L340. I want to be a photographer when I grow up, I also want to be a stay-at-home mom. I already have enough money for college if I would have to go. Any advice? Any tips? Any opinions? Thanks:)
