Nikon Coolpix L120 manual shutter speed?

Well i got a nikon l120 and i really want to have control over the shutter speed especially for light painting and capturing lightning. For lightning it's possible with the fireworks mode but you have to be very lucky to catch one.

How many photos and hd videos can a 8gb sd card hold?

Hi.Im getting the Nikon CoolPix L310 for my sixteenth birthday in two months.Im getting a memory card with it too. I have never owned a camera before so I was wondering if you could tell me. How many photos and HD videos could i get onto the camera.

Best digital point and shoot camera for concerts?

I'm trying to find a good concert camera for low light conditions for when I go to rock concerts. I'm trying to decide between the Nikon Coolpix L810 and Canon Ixus, but if any of you has any suggestions for a good camera at shows, that would rock. I go to shows almost every month, so don't bother telling me most concerts don't allow cameras cuz they almost all do. I'm having trouble finding a camera with a good ISO and I suck at technical specifics with cameras. Thanks!

Need a camera that can take pictures of the night sky?

Hi I'm looking for a good camera that is able to take clear beautiful photos of the night sky, moon, stars and planets. I only have a Nikon coolpix so they come out pretty blurry. What type of camera will I need? Thanks

MorningLightMountain - wow you must think im an idiot? obviously i have a tripoid that i use.my pics come out blurry cause my camera is an L22 coolpix, which Caoedhen describes as not a good quality camera to use. If you stand there without using a tripod, they come out shaky.blurry is cause my camera can`t auto-focus on such far objects surrounded by darkness.

Does anybody know how to set slow shutter speed on a Nikon Coolpix s630?

I wanted to mess around with lights and take some pictures but I'm not sure how to adjust the shutter speed :| Help?
