Which camera to get? Nikon Coolpix L810, Canon SX160 IS, or Canon SX260 HS?

Since I lost my super old compact digital camera out at sea a while back I'm looking for and are in need for a new camera. I'm debating between the Nikon Coolpix L810, Canon SX160 IS, or Canon SX260 HS. Although other camera suggestions are welcome as well.My budget is up to $250. I'm not a pro at photography but I do like to take pictures in good quality when I can. I would generally use the camera for recreational use such as pictures/videos of my dogs, upcoming graduation, events/parties, traveling.

I dropped my nikon coolpix 16mp 6 x wide optical zoom camera and now it won't turn on. What could be wrong with it?

I just want it to make beautiful pictures, with vivid colors and nice cleareance. I am also a beginner.

Nikon L810 Coolpix or Fujifilm Finepix S4200?

I'm obviously not an experienced photographer. If I was I wouldn't be buying these cameras. I just want to know which is the better camera for a beginner? I will mainly be using the camera to take photos on my travels, possibly some videos and maybe some portraits.

Why Nikon coolpix L110 is more expensive then Nikon coolpix L310?

As L310 is new model and has greater megapixel and Optical zoom it should be expensive then L110 but why its not?

I have a nikon coolpix p100 26x optical zoom wide full hd camera?

For some reason that should be able to shoot clear hd videos like this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aiyIyI9hoS0 but instead it shoots like this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9XZtHhy9bk0 now is it because of the program(avid studio) or because of my computer (windows vista) its kinda old or the camera cant shoot that clear.i need some solutions.
