Which is better nikon 1 j1 or the Nikon coolpix s9300?

Im a 14 year old girl about to turn 15 and im going to get a new camera and i was wondering which is better out of the two but im open to other recommendations so if you think there is a better camera please tell me

Best inexpensive DSLR camera?

I currently have a little coolpix that i've had for years, but i love using cameras with manual zoom and focus so i can take more artistic pictures. I would love a camera with a removable lens and good quality, but under $500 preferably- I don't need all the "bells and whistles." I was considering the Nikon D3000, any recommendations?
