Expert Advise Needed who experience these problems and solve it easily.!

I am asking a question about my camera.It is a really great camera. Nikon Coolpix s3100. I copy these images without any problem and video without any problem in my PC. The problem is that when i record a video which is 3 min or 4 min it will be transfer into my computer easily without any problem whereas if i record a 5 min or 6 min video from it.It will not my copied. I cant be able to copy the long video file the size of file is about 1.68 GB. OK Now who is the one who help me to solve this problem. Simply the question is that i cannot copy large sized video file.the size maybe 1.68 GB 5 to 8 min i cant copy it to my PC my hard disk is completely free spaced i have 24 GB Free Space. How can i copy large video.
Note:I can Run the Video in my camera without any problem. I use a SDHC card 8GB.
My PC Is Best for its requirements!!!
Also i record video is 720 p HD..dont want to change it.

NIKON D5100 or Canon T3i?

I own a Nikon bridge camera (P500) and looking to upgrade to DSLR. I have heard rave reviews about Canon DSLRs and the easy availability of accessories. But since I already have used a Nikon, I kinda have an idea about navigation, settings, et al.
Nikon is my comfort zone. But Canon seems too overwhelming to ignore.
Suggestions? Advice?

P.S.: I am a learning hobbyist photographer. Video is not my forte.
(I have kinda narrowed down to Nikon D5100 and Canon T3i. But then again, it is just today that I started researching for my DSLR.)

What's the best setting for a nikon coolpix S220?

So i just got this camera 2 days ago & iv been playing around with the settings.im aware that it has 10 megapixels which is better than my old nikon that was 7.5 megapixels.but when i uploaded the pictures on my computer it seemed like my old nikon camera took better pics than this new one.
so wat is the best settings for it?
& i don't mean "auto"
like hiow much the exposure should be & that kind of stuff.plus if you actually have the camera & the pictures come out really nice.can you tell me the best settings for it? thankss.

How do I make a Kodak picture viewable on my new Nikon camera?

I had a Kodak Easyshare M753, and took my fair share of pictures on it
When I got a new camera, a Nikon Coolpix S202V1.0, the Kodak pictures aren't viewable on my Nikon camera.It's all saved on one Kingston Technology SD card, and when I pop it into my Nikon camera, click review, and try to view the Kodak pictures, it says 'File contains to image data." I want to have these pictures on my camera, so I can view them while on the go.Is there any software that can somehow convert the Kodak pictures to Nikon ones?

I've already tried exploring the files, and I moved the pictures from a Kodak file to a Nikon one within the SD card. This did not work, and I made no progress.

Can I use nikon coolpix s3 as webcam?

I have this camera Nikon Coolpix S3 and I just downloaded a program called CamSticker.It can take your pics with cute frame as you usually do in the photobox. But the problem is, how can I use my digital camera as webcam. I have the real webcam but the resolution is not good. Anyone can help?

I am going to take a Digital Photography Class for Serious Amateur Photographers on September 19th. I am trying to do my research on the types of Digital Cameras and I have narrowed it down to these brands and the types from each. Tell me what one you think I should buy. Added (1). Okay so my list above is all over the place. I did some more digging on what categories of photography I am interested in: Nature/Wildlife, Landscape, and Candid. I tried to look at what cameras were best in each area and I was going to narrow my search that way but I am a bit overwhelmed at how many different cameras are considered the best.
I was interested in the Nikon D40 but read that they were discontinued and found the Nikon FM-10 camera. Not sure if this would be what I am looking for so once again your thoughts are appreciated. :)
