Use digital Camera lens on my camera?

I had a digital camera like this: http://www.amazon.com/Nikon-Coolpix-Digital-Optical-Graphite/dp/B0011N17RU
It didn't work, so I broke it into peaces.
I took the lens from it, which looks like this: http://i.imgur.com/FApO8.jpg
At the back like this: http://i.imgur.com/Hao3R.jpg
And it's focusing screen: http://i.imgur.com/DzQuy.jpg

Well, I like hacking things and stuff. Wide angle lenses cost a lot, so I thought, I could buy a focusing screen: http://www.amazon.com/Canon-EeS-Focusing-Screen-EOS/dp/B000BS3ROC/ref=sr_1_6?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1354514557&sr=1-6&keywords=focusing+screen
And focus an image on that. I will attach my video camera on that lens so it will become wide angle, like this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q2zBT9jMoyM
I figured out how to play with the zoom and focus, but the only thing is: Lens' focusing screen is few times smaller than canon focusing screen. I can get from Amazon, so, as I guess, projected image will be small and with my Sony camera, I'll have to zoom more on the focusing screen.
So the question is: Is the quality of focusing screen that good, so if I zoom in on it, it won't reduce quality of an image?
To better understand, here is the image: http://i.imgur.com/KAz2d.jpg
