My current compact camera (Canon IXUS 100 S) is really disappointing when it comes to indoor concerts pictures. I'm looking for a new compact camera that captures great motion pictures in low-light.
Most (probably all) concerts I attend doesn't allow SLR cameras and I really don't want to see any answers saying I should buy SLR camera.
I did some research and I came up with a few points I should look for in the camera that I want to buy which are:
1. High ISO
2. High shutter speed
3. High zoom ability
4. Battery life, of course
5. Image stabilizer (which most cameras already have)
That's all I can come up with at the moment. Is there anything else I should watch out for?
Then I looked up a few cameras and picked some cameras.
1. Sony DSC-WX50
16.2 Megapixel, 5x optical zoom, ISO12800, 'Handheld Twilight' scene selection for clearer image in low light, 240 shots battery life, f/2.6 aperture.
2. Nikon Coolpix S9300
15.9 Megapixel, 18x optical zoom, ISO3200, 1/4000 shutter speed, 200 shots battery life, f/3.5 aperture.
3. Canon SX260 HS
12 Megapixel, 20x optical zoom, ISO3200, 210 shots battery life, f/3.5 aperture.
That's all I have for now. Which do you think is the best compact camera for concerts?
Do you have any other recommendation?
I really wish to have a professional opinion on this because it's really important to me.
I hope you can help me with this.
Thank you very much in advance!
