Help which camera! Nikon vs Panasonic Lumix?

I need to buy a new camera my old one is horrendous last year I was in new York and all pictures at night or in dark came out black with a tiny speckle of light so my pics of the tree were non exsistent :(

So I am looking for a camera which takes pictures in dark and low light which are good but my budget is only 100.00 ish however a lot are now on sale from 170 or even 200

I have narrowed down to panasonic Lumix sz1 or the Nikon cool pix s3300

Anyone recommend one? I heard Lumix has lecia lens and is good however people rant about that Nikon too lol after reading reviews none of which mention night time or dark pictures I'm even more confused

Any help will be great I'm not that technical lol

Can't focus on object with Nikon D7000? Any advice with settings?

I've been trying to figure out how to use my Nikon D7000, I can't manage to get a clear photo. What happens is I'll get a clear shot but the edges of the item well get blurred out. The background is always blurry, there's probably something I'm doing wrong. Any advice on the settings? I've attached two photo's, those were the best I could do.

Can I use lens of broken camera?

First of all, I had camera, like Nikon Coolpix S550 10 MP Digital Camera which didn't work, so I took it apart. It has a lens and I was wondering if I could somehow use it on my Sony HDR-CX110. Lens looks like this --> http://i.imgur.com/FApO8.jpg <---
and at the end, naturally had a sensor like this: http://i.imgur.com/DzQuy.jpg.
My first question is: The image what the sensor sees comes from the light rays which cross at the same point where the image sensor plane is and the information is sent to the camera, right? like so
---> image
Well, instead of the sensor, if I put focusing screen there, like those ones:
http://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_sb_noss?url=search-alias%3Delectronics&field-keywords=focusing+screen&rh=n%3A172282%2Ck%3Afocusing+screen
Question 2: If I change a sensor with focus screen: image, will the image appear on it? Like shown here: image

So I came up with a structure: image
Is it possible?
Please answer my 4 questions… (Forth question is with the image below)

Added (1). I already figured out how to play with zoom and focusing, all I need to know is - if the image will be projected to focusing screen…

Use digital Camera lens on my camera?

I had a digital camera like this: http://www.amazon.com/Nikon-Coolpix-Digital-Optical-Graphite/dp/B0011N17RU
It didn't work, so I broke it into peaces.
I took the lens from it, which looks like this: http://i.imgur.com/FApO8.jpg
At the back like this: http://i.imgur.com/Hao3R.jpg
And it's focusing screen: http://i.imgur.com/DzQuy.jpg

Well, I like hacking things and stuff. Wide angle lenses cost a lot, so I thought, I could buy a focusing screen: http://www.amazon.com/Canon-EeS-Focusing-Screen-EOS/dp/B000BS3ROC/ref=sr_1_6?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1354514557&sr=1-6&keywords=focusing+screen
And focus an image on that. I will attach my video camera on that lens so it will become wide angle, like this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q2zBT9jMoyM
I figured out how to play with the zoom and focus, but the only thing is: Lens' focusing screen is few times smaller than canon focusing screen. I can get from Amazon, so, as I guess, projected image will be small and with my Sony camera, I'll have to zoom more on the focusing screen.
So the question is: Is the quality of focusing screen that good, so if I zoom in on it, it won't reduce quality of an image?
To better understand, here is the image: http://i.imgur.com/KAz2d.jpg
