I have a Nikon L110. Its never screwed me over in the past. Today, however, i had a really important photo shoot with models I'll never be able to photograph again, and those photos were supposed to be used for a huge art project… without them I'm doomed. I took them and could review them on my camera a few hours later, but when removing the SD card from my camera to my computer to import the photos, everything I shot today was simply gone. I tried putting the SD back into my camera to see if they were there - nope.
Where did they go, what did I do wrong, and is there a way I can get them back? Im desperate, and this is so rediculous to happen on such an important event!
also, im not sure if this matters… but only the photos from today were gone. Nothing else I'd taken in the past was erased.and no, i didnt accidentally hit the delete button.

What camera is best for my needs?
I have always been very unlucky with cameras, so i have decided to invest in a good camera.the max a i can spend is £160.
i am going to be basically using the camera for:
+family events (weddings, birthdays)
+everyday use (taking pics of the kids, family and so on)
i have been looking up and heres what i have been looking at and i am not sure which one is best for what i am looking for? i want really good quality pictures :)

from reading reviews of the cameras on amazon, i was put off each one for very simple reasons, so now i really am stuck as to what to decide.
the:
1st cameras negative review is "Little manual control -what there is will be lost to most who will never bother to access the frustrating links on the disc!
Crackerjack and non-intuitive instructions on disc.
Flimsy and poorly designed battery compartment cover
Viewfinder to provide more versatility (for some but probably not all)
No hdmi output."
2nd camera "unreliable and goes through batteries at an alarming rate and the Picture quality is dreadful"
3rd camera "feels very cheap and plasticky, more like a children's toy."
and finally the
4th camera "The camera feels really plastic and cheap. The image isn't good quality, it is really blurry. It takes several seconds for the picture to actually take and load before you can move the camera making it rubbish for quick shots. The video quality is also poor and the constant error message when you turn it on"
in quoting these negative reviews, or parts of the reviews, there are equally as good of reviews for each camera.so please tell me, what one would be best for me?
thank you in advance for all your answers :)

Would a Nikon Coolpix L810 work for my situations?
I mostly want it for the high megapixels and the 26x zoom.
The things I'll be doing with the camera include going to concerts (that's where zoom and megapixels come in handy since I never know just how far back I'll be and shots are good regardless) BUT, I worry because I can't find any information about how the camera works for movement (like with the performers on stage moving around a lot) just small things like that.
I'll also be traveling quite a bit in the upcoming year, but the one trip I'm mainly concerned with is New York City this winter when I go for the New Years celebration. Since I've never been, nor have I ever had a bridge camera like this one, I want to know if it will work well for the low lighting at night (even with all of the neon lighting and things like that). And again, if it will take decent photos from a distance in such lighting. For example, photos of the ball in Time Square and performers that we may or may not see.
Those are the main questions I have about this camera. Please please please answer! I'm getting it this weekend probably and I just want to be sure that it will stand up to the things I'm hoping it will.
THANK YOU x

Good cameras for under 200$?
I want to get a camera for christmas or my birthday. And the kindof camera that i want i think its called a bridge camera or something like that. Peferably around 200$ just not to much above it. The kind of camera i want looks like this:
http://www.amazon.com/Nikon-Coolpix-Digital-Batteries-Accessory/dp/B0076YNZHI/ref=pd_rhf_gw_p_t_1
the problem with this is that i cant get it at a store, because i was planning to get big sales on black friday this year and another problem is the people that had it said that it didnt focus that well.so can someone tell me what kinda camera they have or tell me what a good camera brand is? also i would like it to be at a store like target or walmart or something like that.
thanks :)

The memory card wont click into my Nikon Coolpix L120 anymore?
I've had the camera for two years and LOVE it but now the card wont stay in place. Can that be fixed? Is it worth the cost to fix it? I bought another Nikon Coolpix but don't like it nearly as much and am taking it back. I would love to get this one fixed. If its worth fixing, how do I find a place to fix it? Nowhere around my location does that.

Why am I so Impatient?
I'm so Impatient that I buy what I see. Even when I use my logic I just buy it.
I bought Adobe cs6 master collection though I hardly use anything other than photoshop. I was against buying Adobe cs6 master collection, i just wanted to buy CS6 photoshop.
And now I'm just a beginner at photography (been 1 month) and have fujifilm s3100. I now want to buy Nikon D7000. I have the money for it because I saved the money for the Uni, that's why I have not money not because my parents are rich. We are lower middle class family.
I become rational and use logic but i go against it at the end when I use action.
I know that I'm not going to take d7000 outside with me and probably use it only twice every month at maximum, why can't I stop wasting my money on things I don't need. And I'm just a beginner at photography, though I do take photographs everyday.
Help me become patience, I'm tired of being impatience when I'm 22 years old. Still can't be mature or patience damn it.

TG-1 iHS or the Coolpix aw100?
Which is better quality of pics and camera vs derailing vs features vs price vs anything else needed to be considered. I don't know if the Coolpix is water proof the so that may be a problem!
