So, i recently purchased a nikon coolpix p510 to dabble around with. Dont know much about cameras. About a year ago a friend of mine showed me this light trick when its night and they hold down the shutter for 30 seconds or something and you can draw and see how it turns out right? Well, all i know is like i think that's how long the shutter is open and when it closes, it will show the picture put together right? Something like that? Can anyone explain simply how it works and how i can do it on my nikon coolpix p510 camera?
Added (1). So, i went to the "S" setting which is "shutter priority auto and i went to menu and clicked on "continuous" and theres a section where you can change the Intvl timer shooting to 30 sec 1 min 5 min or 10 min and i also found a dial i can turn which changes something like 1/4000 and lower, does that mean anything?
