My camera SD card un-formats itself?

My camera's SD card keeps un-formatting itself, I think. Just randomly, while I'm using my camera, I'll turn it off for a second so I don't waste the batteries, then turn it back on, and it will say "SD card not formatted", and the only way to fix it is to delete all the files! The first time there was nothing important, so i deleted them. But this time, I had pics I did not want to lose! So I'm tried a photo recovery software, and it worked! But I want to know: is it my camera, my SD card, or me? And what can I do to prevent this in the future? For now I'm trying a new SD card, and hopefully it won't happen again. My camera is a Nikon Coolpix L120, and my SD card is a centon class 4 hc 4GB card. Thanks!
Added (1). Thanks for your help! Everyone's suggesting SanDisk, and I like those, but my Mom gave me a memory card she thinks is a really good one, I think it's called a Kingston, or something like that. Does anyone know if the quality of those cards?

Why wont my camera focus?

I have a Nikon Coolpix camera i used it yesterday and made a video but i thought i would clean the lens so i took cleaning alcohol and cleaned the lens with that using a Q-Tip but now when i use it the camera wont focus and the pictures come out blurry Please Help

My Nikon Coolpix is making a weird clicking sound?

Last night I was taking a bunch of pictures with my Nikon Coolpix S610 and it was working fine until about 20 pictures in, when I noticed it was making this weird clicking sound ever 2 seconds. It sounded sort of like what the lens sounds like when its about to zoom, but it was very abrupt. I'll add that the zoom function was working fine. Also, the clicking stopped whenever I turned the camera upside down. I tried turning it off and leaving it alone overnight, but when I turned it on again this morning, it made the same sound. Is there a setting I have it on that is causing this, or should I get it repaired? I've also heard reading in other message boards that this might have to do with a defective battery. Any thoughts?

Can i bring my camera to Warped Tour?

Im going to Warped Tour in a few weeks ( Colombia, MD) and i have a nikon coolpix l120. On the vans warped tour website it says 'no professional cameras'.so i was just wonder if they would let me in with my camera. Or if its too big.

Why are my pictures grainy/blurry?

Okay, I have the Nikon coolpix 230 and it's a very good camera all in all. The only problem is when I take a picture it is very grainy and/or sometimes blurry. I have it set to the highest megapixel and I don't know what's wrong with it. I need help. Below please put of you know how to fix this or if you have also had this problem. Thank you.

My Nikon coolpix S3100 is taking blurry pictures?

So I have a nikon coolpix S3100 & it's taking really blurry pictures. I already tried changing the ISO sensitivity & it doesn't work. I use auto mode and they come out blurry. I try the different scenes & it ALSO comes out blurry. Any way that I take a picture it comes out blurry unless I zoom in. It's not water damage because I haven't used it around water so I honestly don't know what's wrong with it. Someone help please?
Added (1). I have to zoom in to almost half the size of the zoom bar & I don't hear any sounds. I have tried taking photos in both dark & light places but it's blurry indeed & it's not due to shakiness. I have tooken pictures in the dark before & it looks perfect. I don't know why it's doing it now.
Added (2). I do hear sounds when I half press the shutter button though.

Can you change the lens on the Nikon COOLPIX P500?

I was looking into buying a new camera for around $400 that I will be able to do:
Videos in 1080p
Stills > 12MP
Change lens

I found the Nikon COOLPIX P500 to do 1080p and 12 MP, but I was wondering if you could change the lens of the camera?

How to delete all my pictures?

HOw do i delete all the pictures form my coolpix S51 nikon all at once? I would hate to do all the pictures individually for the rest of my life? AH! Help!
