S220 Nikon COOLPIX camera screen broken? - 1

So today when i pulled my camera out of my backpack, i noticed there was a dark spot on it.i turned it on and the screen was white with a big black blob on the right top corner.i think one of my books smashed the screen and ruined it but i'm not sure since i didn't know it was in there.should i send it to a refurbishing center so they can fix the screen? or is it just cheaper to buy a new one?

Which camara is really the right for me?

Confused ,I am indeed with the rate that camera companies release new machines every day!!!
I currently own an old canon powershot 8 mpx camera and would really like to update
It gives excellent pics under low light conditions and has a sports mode as well as an excellent long long lens for capturing still shots far away
So, bearing all the above in mind, which camera is right for me..?
The lowdown…
Low light images a must for me as I hate flash photography
A swivel type screen at the back is a must as well, as my camera has one
An electronic viewfinder too is a must to save on battery energy
And a decent lens which get close up to my objective…
I have considered Canon G11 ( not G12 as it does not have a good lens or swivel screen )
Sony Nex NLB
Nikon coolpix P520
Nikon coolpix P7700 and the
Nikon D5100
I am grateful for any advice on the above, or an alternative model.

Sneaking camera into One Direction concert?

I'm going to a One Direction concert on July 19 and I'm in the very back. I really want to bring my camera (a Nikon Coolpix l810) in with me. I called the Sprint Center, where the concert is being held, and asked if cameras are going to be allowed in and she said yes, only small cameras. I'm assuming that is only for the little digital cameras.So I'm wondering how I can sneak my camera in. I read on wikihow that you could wear a fluffy skirt and have the strap around your waist and have your camera under there (if that made any sense) and security won't pat you down under your skirt or anything. Anyone have any suggestions? To people that have been to a 1D concert, what was security like? Do they pat everyone down? Look through your purse? And if I do successfully get it into the arena, what is the security like actually during the concert, like will they easily see me using my camera? Camera for Astrophotography? - 1

Hi guys,
I recently got a Nikon Coolpix S4300 (full spec here: http://www.nikonusa.com/en/Nikon-Products/Product/Compact-Digital-Cameras/26332/COOLPIX-S4300.html) from my grandfather and Sony DSC-W670 (full spec here: http://www.sony.co.uk/product/dsc-w-series/dsc-w670) from my father… So, may i know can I use it for astrophotography? Can I see deep sky objects have a COLOUR with these digital camera? Thanks…

How to get pictures back on Nikon P510?

My mom was using our Nikon Coolpix P510, and deleting bad photos, when (I assume) she scrolled and clicked the 'delete all' button. This is very important, as a lot of family photos are on it. We've had the camera since May. I have already downloaded PhotoRec, but since I am not a technological genius, I couldn't figure out anything in it. If anyone could help me out that would be fantastic! Thank you!

Nikon coolpix s203 white screen white screen?

I took this camera camping with me last summer, and in the morning, I went to take a picture.
The camera worked fine. You can see the screen and then out of nowhere while trying to take the picture, it slowly turned white, and now it stayed like that.
there is NO damage to the screen.It is NOT cracked. I believe it has something to do with inside the camera. However, I need help to fix this.

1. I'd like to know the problem.
2. I'd like to know HOW to fix this. Inexpensively.

I found a solution once and the apparent problem was the piece that connected to the camera from the screen.It showed links to the solution and when I clicked them, the links don't work anymore.
I also know that getting it fixed costs more than the camera itself.
So if there is a way of fixing this myself?
