Anyone else have problems with Nikon CoolPix P520 Stop Responding?

Last night I was shooting photos with my Nikon Coolpix P520 and all of a sudden it stopped letting me take pictures. Regardless of how many times I tried to take one it just would not let me.So I tried other buttons such as the menu and nothing.So I tried to power the camera down and got an error saying I can't use that function when the camera is recording. But I was never recording a video.So I wound up taking out the battery and putting it back in. The battery was fully charged on the camera. Tried to turn it back on and nothing. I spent 5 minutes trying to get it to come back on and finally it did. Tried the preview image button and nothing once again.It is like none of the buttons are responding at all. Then I had hell once again trying to get it to power down. Tried connecting it to my pc and my pc read the camera but said nothing was in the files. None of my images or anything. Took out memory card and the images were there. I have maybe had the camera for a week now. And up to this point it has been working great for me. The auto focus can be a tad annoying. I had noticed sometimes it took me a few tries hitting the power button to get it to come on. I just figured maybe I was holding it too long or what not. I am just curious if anyone is having similar issues. I still can return mine to the store but this is making me question wether I tried try a new one or just reget the camera I had and hope this doesn't happen again.
Added (1). It was not low lighting. That was far from the issue. The camera just completely stopped responding to anything I was trying to do from accessing the menu so on so forth. But what I just did was switched the SD cards and now it is working.So maybe my memory card crapped out? I can't see how that would effect the camera and the camera functions though. I couldn't go into menu or do anything.
Added (2). Memory card works perfectly fine in my computer.It is a class 10, 16 gig Duracell.It was working fine in the camera till last night. I just had it back in my pc and it was reading the files perfectly fine. Did a reformat on the card and tried it in camera again and I am litterally unable to do anything. I can't access camera settings or menu or anything at all.

Which of these cameras is the best deal.? (i know nothing. )?

I am going to Spain on June the 1st and two days ago my cheap compact camera decided to break -_- It was a cheap 6 year old 5mp camera from a supermarket. Lol Well its time for an upgrade!
I will mostly be taking landscape photos and family photos. Unfortunately as it is so close to my holiday i have a pretty tight budget of £150 (at MAX). I have narrowed it down to one of these two.

The review photos (on a diff sight) look amazing and seem easy to reach without learning all about photography. The rrp is 199 but amazon have it for 134!

Its 119 with a RRP of 229. Some review sights slate it a little but i feel that was mostly due to the heafty rrp price tag they may have paid.

Which do you guys think? If you have ANY other alternatives please list them. :) PLease dont list anything over £150 as i will have to ignore them :( sorry.

Also i have decided not to go for a compact camera as you seem to be paying for the compactness of it while losing alot of quality :(

What compact camera should I buy for business travelling?

Hi guys,

Need some help getting a new camera.

Used to own a Nikon S3100 which was passed down to my sister. Nice camera taking nice shots BUT transition too slow from one shot to another. A problem when taking photos at events as it took forever to preview photo and return for another shot.

Type of camera/lens/accesories: Compact
Budget: RM700
Your Location: KL/Selangor
Preferable brand: any
Type of photography u want to do: To snap beautiful scenery, buildings and people during work travel overseas.
Any specific models in mind?: SONY CYBER-SHOT WX50/CANON ELPH 320 HS/Any other recommended
Any specific features u want?: Wide angle, rapid fire, NO shutter lag, small, easy to travel around with.

How to take photo of a (very) small thing with Nikon Coolpix P510.?

I have a Nikon Coolpix P510 Digital Camera. I want to take photos of vary small objects such as ants, small flowers, etc very close to me. But when I try to do so, the object goes to out of focus with a red rectangle on the display. I know the camera has the facility to do this. But I can't find it.So please help me. Thank you!

HELPPP! Fujifilm finepix S4000 OR Nikon coolpix L310?

I have photography hobby but i don't have the time to get it to the pro level
I was searching about suitable semi-pro camera for me
I've had canon powershot A2200 … now I'm buying a new one
I've found 2 cameras but i don't know which one is really better in the practical life

it says that the Fuji is better that the nikon

but fuji has lower shutter speed which i care about alot.also more sutter lag and less battery life !!!

on the other hand the nikon doesn't have a viewfinder and don't make panorama photos and less screen resolution 50% than the Fuji !!

I'm so confused which one do i buy !!!

the things i care about are:
the image quality - the camera speed of taking photos - the more battery life - the more photography options

My SD card isn't working?

I bought a Nikon Coolpix (not sure the entire product name) and it was working fine for a while and then when I went to take a picture on it, the picture took, but it did not save. Then after that, the card wouldn't go into the slot in the camera anymore. Then after a few days it went back in, but now when I turn on the camera a screen comes up saying "This card cannot be used". I've tried multiple cards and it still isn't working.Is there anything I can do about this?

How to import videos on vista?

I have a coolpix L810 camra and when I first pluged it into my computer I clicked open folders insted of import and I need them to import because I want to use Movie maker (I know lame but it's all I have right now) and it wont ask to import the photos and videos anymore, what do I do?

Nikon Coolpix Battery?

I have a nikon coolpix S210 camera, and it recently broke.it wouldn't turn on for a while and then it randomly turned on by itself and started flashing.is there a way I could fix this? possible water damage.
also, if this does not work, I am looking to buy a nikon coolpix S250 camera on craigslist, but it does not come with a battery.does my coolpix S210 battery work on the S250?
please answer in desperate need!

Nikon Cookpix S70 not turning on?

So I wanted to go take pictures with my camera on Friday, but I had to charge it first. I was able to look and go through my photos by plugging into my computer via USB earlier that day (I went through all my SD cards too to see what was on them). That night, I let it charge overnight to see if it was the battery. The next morning, I go to turn it on. The thing in the top right lights up green, but then the green light disappears, and the touch screen wouldn't turn on.

I haven't used my cameras in a few months so I don't know why it won't work. I had it charging for at least 8 hours so the battery should have been fully charged, right?

Since my dad has the same camera (it wasn't working, but he kept the battery), I took my battery out and put his in. Then I charged it with his battery for about an hour and turned it on. Again, the green light goes on, but then disappeared and the touch screen wouldn't turn on.

I tried turning it in with my battery this morning, but not much progress.It still wants to give me the green light and the touch screen won't turn on. I have it on the wall charger now, and it is showing the orange blinking light, which means it's charging.

Anyone knows what's going on here? Do I need a new battery? Or is it the camera? I've had for 3 years, almost 4.

Videos with the Nikon L810?

Okay, so how am I supposed to see that I am in the screen of the camera when I'm making a video? Will I need to put a mirror behind or some sort, so that I'll be able to see myself?
