Good cameras with low prices?

I'm a young photographer, and I'm looking for a really good digital camera for a low price. I have read about some, and I like the new Nikon Coolpix S3600, but there are no reviews for it because it's new, and the sample pictures I've seen aren't as good a quality as I'd like them to be. I'm turning 14 on March 17, and all I want is a camera. My mom and I are trying to find a good one that's low price though, because we don't have a lot of money right now and I need a really good one below like $150. I would really PREFER Nikon, but Canon is okay. I'd like to see some reviews or your experiences as well. Thank you so much!

Nikon Coolpix L820 help?

I just bought a new Nikon Coolpix L820, when I first set it up I was able to take a few pictures without any problems. Now it won't take any! I press the shutter release button and the red light flashes but it doesn't take the picture. What am I doing wrong? I'm trying to test it out before using it tomorrow.
Added (1). The batteries are brand new, the screen shows full battery also. It doesn't have anything in the manual besides what the buttons are.

Okay so i'm new at photography. For Christmas, I got a Nikon Coolpix L320 camera. Today on pinterest, I saw this DIY Bokeh picture thing where you use dark card stock and a shaped hole puncher to create the desired shape and put it over your lens. It said something about Aperture, but since im new, i have no clue what that is or how to use it. I checked the manual that came with my camera and it said nothing about aperture but on the website it says something about it. It also said something about shutters. What are shutters? I'm trying to transfer photos from my camera to my laptop?

I'm sat here with my Nikon coolpix s2500 and I'm trying to transfer or copy the photos in the camera to my laptop. I put the disc into the laptop and followed the instructions to the point were I am now ready to chose the programe that I will be running to do the task. I was about to click Nikon transfer 2 ( the recommended programme on the instructional manual ) but my mouse pad was so sensitive it clicked on the wrong one. I do not know how to change it as the manual doesn't say. I tried to follow the manual anyway but it won't let me download anything. Please help me change the programme.

What does 'System error' mean in a Nikon Coolpix 4300?

I turned on the tiny digicam with the cap on the lens, so it appeared the message asking to remove it, but then immediately after doing so, it appeared in red the message 'System error' on the LCD screen, and it's been impossible to shoot cause the shutter is blocked… So, what happened to my camera? What did I do wrong? Is there a chance to fix it by myself?

How to upload pictures from camera's internal memory?

I took some pictures last night, but I forgot my SD card within my computer… Therefore, there are some pictures on my camera that are in its internal memory that I cannot upload. Is there a way to transfer these pictures onto my SD card? I'm in college so I didn't bring any cords that would let me hook the camera itself to the computer (if such a cord exists.)

Should I reject a camera only because it lacks Manual Focusing option?

I'm intended to buy a high zoom digital camera and have primarily selected Fujifilm Finepix S8500 or Nikon Coolpix P520.

I've primarily chosen the Fuji model, but it has a drawback over the another which has stuck me from taking the final decision. Fuji lacks Manual Focusing System.

Should I reject the Fuji Camera ONLY because of that? I know what does manual focus means (theoretically), but does it really matter so much?

Need camera experts?!

Enrolling in a photography class in the fall. I currently have a Nikon p510, but since it's a point and shoot, In can't use it for class. (So I am somewhat familiar with Nikon's camera layout.) I have my eye on a Canon EOS Rebel 450d Xsi and everything about it looks awesome. The only problem is, it is discontinued and it was created in 2008. I have access to it's purchase, but because the hardware is so old, I don't know if i should invest $320 into it. I am also looking at a Canon Rebel t3i. I know that it is newer, 2011 I believe? Anyway, please give me your expertise. I am on a $350 and under budget, I am looking mainly at gently used cameras! Thanks so much!

Which Camera? ISO vs MP?

So, I'm going into graphic design, and I've decided I need a camera to take high quality photos that are good to work with in Photoshop, etc. For now I'm just looking for a nice digital camera, like a simple Nikon Coolpix. I don't know too much about cameras and I'm still confused about what ISO is, but basically, if I'm MAINLY looking for very high quality pictures, should I focus on Megapixels or ISO? Here are the two cameras I've been looking at:

What compact camera should i buy?!

need help finding a new camera

what i would like is something like the hx50v but without the zoom because of the small censor. I want the best image quality possible. My budget is about $300.i like all the features in the hx50v (wifi,panoramas,hdr,1080p 60fps since ill be doing videos) besides the image quality and also theres something about the popup flash that i love lol so i want that on the camera as well.would like RAW and a decent zoom but if not then thats ok too

Want a blurry background on Nikon Coolpix p510 but the image comes out black?

I've tried numerous settings in manual mode to obtain a blurry background:
f3.7 SS 1/1000
f4.8 SS 1/500
To name a couple
Images turn out black. It doesn't matter if I'm indoors or outdoors. I've adjusted the ISO to higher settings as well. Images are still really dark. The meter shows that it is far in the negative. I don't know how to get it to zero. Any suggestions on what could be wrong?

My memory card says full but it's empty on my Nikon coolpix 775?

I'm having trouble with my cameras (Nikon Coolpix 775) memory card. I put a new card in and formatted it but the camera thinks the card is full (memory card full) and won't work. I hooked it up to my computer and looked at the memory card to see if anything is on it but it was empty. Not sure what to do next.

My Nikon Coolpix P520 won't turn on, help?

Okay so I have only had this since christmas, so it's crazy that it's not working already!
Basically everytime i put it on charge it seems to be charging fine (makes the beep noise when you plug it in and the charging light flashes). I tried charging it for 4 hours a few days ago (as suggested by manual) but when i try to turn it on nothing happens. Then yesterday i charged it all day, so like 12 hours, and still it does not turn on, help anyone?

Why does my Nikon Coolpix P510 say out of memory?

I have a Nikon Coolpix P510 that recently started saying "out of memory" even though there is only 150 or so pictures. I have a 16GB SD card that should definitely not be full with 150 pictures.

I think I may have hit a button that changed a setting at some point on accident but I'm not sure.

The last time I offloaded my pictures I noticed that on the SD card under the DCIM folder there were numerous folders named 100Nikon, 101Nikon, 102Nikon, etc. But I deleted the empty folders because I thought it was just unnecessary clutter. Could I perhaps have accidently deleted folders I shouldn't have?

I'm on vacation and can't edit the SD card until I get home but would really like to fix this now.

Any help will be appreciated. Why won't my camera hold any more pictures?!

Help Picking Camera for Valentine's Day Gift?

I need your advice on what camera to buy my boyfriend for Valentine's Day.
I'm trying to find something that will:

What about the flip screens on cameras?

The cameras I like (Canon Powershot SX50 and Nikon Coolpix P520) have those flip screens that turn and rotate, etc.

With normal care and handling should I be concerned they will break after a while?

RE: Charging battery on the Nikon Coolpix S520?

Reading the manual it says to charge the battery while it is inside the camera body.

Is there any danger of heat damage while charging that way?

Is there an external charger available as accessory?
