I'm traveling to Bolivia and the Galapagos Isles for a cross cultural trip, and I desperately need a good camera.
It needs to be/have:
*waterproof (probably won't be taking underwater photos, but will be trekking through the rainforest and inclement weather regularly)
*fairly durable
*digital
*long battery life
*good zoom
*loooong battery life
*seriously, LONG battery life; many of the places I'll be visiting do not have access to electricity
*fairly small (no huge lenses or anything like that)
*preferably able to do panoramic
*preferably able to take videos
My main focus will be outdoor and naturey photos. I'll be just as likely to take a sweeping panoramic of a beach as I will be to zoom in on the petals of a flower. It'd be great if it could take low-light no-flash pics with ease, but I know that's kind of difficult. Color quality is really important.
I'd prefer that it be under $400.
I've looked at the Nikon COOLPIX AW100 16 MP CMOS and the Luminox Panasonic Lumix TS20 16.1 Mp Tough, which seem like okay choices.
Any suggestions?
