Nikon COOLPIX L24 won't turn on?

Does anyone know why? I know its not the batteries - they work in the XBox controller just fine… I've emptied the memory card, the door thing is all the way closed and yes, the batteries are facing the right directions…

My charged Nikon Coolpix S4100 won't turn on?

I charged my dead camera (Nikon Coolpix S4100) for about 45 minutes, which is usually how long it takes to charge, and when I tried to turn it on, nothing happened. I charged it a bit longer and it still didn't turn on. Any ideas on what's wrong?

DELETED VIDEOS FROM CAMERA BY ACCIDENT!

I have a Nikon Coolpix camera. When I connected the USB cable to the computer, 5 videos were uploaded of my daughter trying to say dada. When I was looking at each video, I deleted one. Somehow they All were deleted when I did that. I turned on my camera to see if the videos were still on it and they were not. I checked the recycle bin and it was empty. Not even when I restored the items. I am going nuts trying to get the videos back. I read that I should remove the memory card immediately, so I did. Is there any way I can restore these videos without having to pay for a video/pic recovery program.

Please Help!
Added (1). Thanks to all the people trying to help me! I was able to recover videos but 2 out of the 5 stopped working 5 seconds in. They were the longer videos. I don't know how to fix them. Thanks again, everyone! :)

Can I use my digital camera as a webcam?

My laptop doesnt have a webcam, but I would really like to do skype with my friends. Someone told me that video cameras can be used as webcams. Is this true? And if it is, please explain how to set it up. I have a Nikon Coolpix s3000. Thanks:)
