How to blur background of a picture and adjust shutter speed on Nikon Coolpix P90?

Hello! I've had the Nikon Coolpix P90 for quite sometime, I love the camera, I just have a few questions.
First, I researched how to take a picture that has a clear subject and a blurred background. But, I can't seem to figure it out on my camera.

I can't seem to figure out how to focus on the subject and blur the background. I tried everything that the sites have told me, but it still doesn't work for me.

Second, I would love to try to do light graffiti.

For that, you have to adjust shutter speed. I'm having a bit of trouble trying to figure out how to adjust my shutter speed.

I'm very much into photography, therefore I would love to find out how to do both of these things on my camera.So, if you have any ideas on how to do them, please let me know! Thank you so much!

Can I use a regular camera as a webcam?

I have a Nikon Coolpix L14 compact digital camera. I can hook it up to my computer using a USB cable. I was wondering if there was any software available so that I can use the camera as a webcam as well?

Added (1). I know there's a really fantastic one - the Logitech Quickcam Pro 9000 - for $99. That's the one I'd like to get because apparently it's the best. But anyway, is there any kind of software to make a regular digital camera work as a webcam? I'd really love to do that instead since I don't think my parents want me to have a "real" webcam ;) Thanks again!

Pictures on my nikon coolpix are grainy?

Whenever i take pictures with my new nikon coolpix S550 [10 mp] camera, its pictures are either grainy, blurry [no, not due to hand motion] or part of the picture is lighter than the other.

i've read about ISO, and right now it's on auto.
i've tried putting it on manual 100 too, but idk, i guess i'm still not satisfied.

i feel like the picture quality isn't better than my old powershot =/
any ideas, comments, fixes, help!

Good Digital Camera Uploading Software?

I used to own a Canon Powershot and used Zoombrowser and the Canon Photo Suite to upload my photos from the camera to our computer. HOWEVER, our dog ate my camera, so now I am using a Nikon Coolpix s610 and HATE the Nikon uploading software. Can anyone recommend something or know if my Canon software would work with the Nikon?

My Nikon coolpix S203 is not working!

I got this camera two black fridays ago and it worked perfect until a few months ago.one day i turned it on to take and pic and all of a sudden it just zooms in and out then turns off and says Lens error, it does it every time i turn it on and it wont work anymore. Is this problem fixable?
