Nikon Coolpix P500 Camera Technical Support?

I have a Nikon Coolpix P500 & i have two questions,
1. What is the attachment i need for it so that i can put it on a tripod?
2.It sometimes spazzes and tells me that it can not use the SD card when it's brand new and i was wondering why it does that?

So my birthday is in less than a month (13) and I been wanting to get into photography classes. I currently use a coolpix camera but you can't really change the shutter speed, exposure & such.So I want to upgrade my camera to an dslr and I been wanting the canon t3i. I had exprinence with it before and now how to use it ( aunt owns one ).My parents said they are willing to pay half (350) for my birthday present and I'll pay the the rest. I really like the flip out screen (:.So is good camera for a beginner & photography classes? Is it worth the $$$? Thanks (:

I am basically looking for Canon Rebel T3I quality, but Coolpix's price. Nothing over $300 as I am a begginer.

My nikon p510 is not showing colours in manual and aperture prioroty mode?

I bought my Nikon p510 camera a month ago and when i try to operate the camera in manual, aperture priority, programmed auto and shutter speed priority mode i can see only black and white colour camera is not detecting other colours.

Can anybody help me on this.

How to do light graffiti?

I have a Nikon Coolpix P510 and I have already tried to do light graffiti.It kind of works, although you can still see the person and the background. What settings do i need to put my camera to? The only thing i did was change the ISO to 200 and put it on Aperture-Priority mode (i really need to research this). Thanks!
