I'm thinking about getting the Fujifilm FinePix S8600 16 MP Digital Camera but I've heard it the brand is bad.

If I don't get that one, I'll probably end up getting the Nikon COOLPIX L810 16.1 MP.

Any recommendations?

How to use my laptop for a viewfinder for my Nikon Coolpix P530?

I'm using it to film videos and it doesn't have a viewfinder that I can see while in front of the camera without just having a mirror behind it and just looking in the mirror. I have a cord to connect it to my laptop but I can't work out if I can connect it to my laptop so that I can see what it sees. Is there anyway to do that, or do external viewfinders exist so that I can see myself while I film, thanks!

How to make a time-lapse with Nikon Coolpix?

I have a Nikon Coolpix L105, and I want to do time-lapses automatically. The camera wont do that right out of the box, and I'm having trouble finding something that would help me with that. I heard that the L105 is the same thing as the L110, minus the HDMI port, so the parts can be interchangable. Ive seen people on youtube make time-lapses with the same camera that I have, so I know its possible. Any help is appreciated, thanks.

How to charge a Nikon camera without a charger?

My computer graphics teacher required me to the Nikon coolpix P530 to take pictures. I took the camera and when I got home I found out that the battery was dead. I don't have a charger and my project is due on Monday.

Coolpix s60 orange tint, help?

I've had my camera for about two years now. When I first got it, it was perfect. Nothing was wrong.
After about a year, every picture has an orange tint to it and it's always blurry.

How can I fix this? I've tried going through all the settings and nothing seemed to help. I've also tried every single 'scene auto selector' but still… Whenever I'm inside everything is blurry and orange. It happens outside too, depending on the lighting.

Can you help me, please! I don't have the money to get a new, good, camera.

What lens types can make people look fatter than they are?

I've got a Nikon coolpix S8100 digital camera which has a 10x wide optical zoom (5.4-54mm lens) and have noticed that on some pictures of myself and others that some people seem to look fatter (mainly in the face) than they really are? I'm unsure on camera specs as it's just a point and shoot camera, but am wondering from people who know more about the specs of this camera if this is a trait of the lens type and the fact that it is a wide angle zoom?

How to recover files (images)?

Hi, I have a Nikon Coolpix camera and transferred all the pictures on there to my USB and then deleted them off the camera to save memory.
After a while, the photos wouldn't open and it says 'Photo Gallery can't open this photo or video. The file may be unsupported, damaged or corrupted'.
I have tried just about everything like downloading every recovery software, renaming the files, trying to change its format but absolutely nothing works as it continues to say it's 'corrupted'.
These pictures were very important to me. I have also tried to get back the deleted pictures off the camera but that also doesn't work because the camera does not show up on the software as there is nothing on it.
Any help at all is appreciated, thanks.

Nikon camera white lines on image?

I recently dropped my Nikon coolpix for the first time. Now everytime i take a picture it appears clear until its taken then the image has white lines across it. Any suggestions? Btw in video mode everything works perfectly.
