Nikon Coolpix l820 refusing to focus?

Just trying to get some good pictures of the Blood Moon, but it will not focus. When I do get it to a point where it doesn't look terrible, and I get my little green box, the picture comes out so blurry you can't even tell what it is. And the shutter lag is ridiculous, like two seconds between Press and shoot. I don't know if it's just because I'm zoomed in so far or what. Is there anything in the settings that can help me out?
Added (1). In reference to what Jonathan said. I took it inside and tried to take a picture of a dreamcatcher in full light, it focuses okay, but when I take the picture you can't even see the individual strings/webs.
Added (2). Okay so now I just tried, and when I focus it looks like a gorgeous picture. But the shutter lag is still forever, when I actually take the picture its like there's three of whatever I'm taking a picture of very close together. I don't have a tripod or anything I'm just free handing it but I can't be shaking that much can I?

I have a nikon Coolpix L100 and with it i got a 8gig memory card and it says i have 35 left 0_0 and the manuel says nothing about this.

How to unjam my lens on my nikon coolpix s210?

Okay so for some reason my camera got jammed yesterday and ever since i've been trying to unjam it. The lens is stuck and it won't move out and the camera isn't working because of "lens error".

i tried smacking it and getting the thing to go up but it just won't cooperate with me. Please help or give any tips! Thank you.

How to upload individual pictures from my nikon coolpix s60 to my computer?

I have windows vista, and everytime i plug in my camera to my computer it pops up: import pictures or veiw in folder. But when i click import pictures it imports everyone of my pics. And i only want to import a few of them, but i dont want to have to delete any of them off of my camera, has anyone else had this prob? Please help:) thanks

Can I make my Nikon Coolpix L1 digital camera take infra-red photos?

I am wondering if it is possible to shoot any sort of digital photos with my Nikon Coolpix L1 at night (without flash, for those that might suggest the obvious). Are there any special lenses or attachments that I could purchase that I could rig up to do so? I've seen other digital cameras with the IR attachment on top and a "night shoot" option shoot great shots in the dark. So would I have to get a camera specifically built for that purpose, or can something be done?

What does the red blinking symbol mean on my nikon coolpix s60 camera?

I havn't used me camera in a long time and when i turned it on there is a little red box with what looks like the self timer symbol inside it. It's right in the middle of the top of the screen and i cant make it go away. Any ideas?

My camera shutter wont close?

I have a Nikon Coolpix S3000. I took it out of my bag today and the shutter is partially open and the lens is sticking up. If I push the lens down, the shutter closes but the lens wont stay down. If I turn on the camera, the lens and zoom works and everything but when I turn it off, the camera makes a clicking noise as if something is in the lens's way. I really don't want to pay to get it fixed if I can help it. Any suggestions?

Why Does My Nikon Coolpix S80 Do This?

Ok, so for my 17th birthday my family got me the Nikon Coolpix S80 (The touch screen one). I love the camera and the picture quality, but when I record videos the images freeze like… 20-ish minutes in. Why does this do that and is there a way to fix it? I don't have a warranty or anything on it and next weekend I'm going to a concert and want to record some of the performances for my friends, but I'm worried that it won't record the whole time frame I want. Best answer gets 10 points and my gratitude. As well as answers to any of your questions from me that I can answer.
Added (1). It has a 24 minute limit.
