Digital camera buy.help needed! Canon, nikon, sony?

Hello friends i would like to buy a cam around 10k i have done some R&D and come up with following models…

please suggest me best of them.majorly use of cam would be family functions, trips, events and some good still images ( very rarely as hobby) i dont go for much video recording neither battry type is issue for me. Please suggest me amongst following:
1.canon powershot SX150;
2. Sony DSC w630;
3. Nikon coolpix s6200;
4. Sony DSC H70;
5. Sony cybershot WX50 ;

PS. I am novice about cams, someone told me that canon cams are good but dont go for them as they click raw pics (good for pro. ) whereas others click processed images which looks great on PC is that true?

My Nikon Coolpix 990 won't turn on?

I just got this thing so I'm not sure exactly how it works. It turns on and functions fine when I plug it into the wall. But when I unplug it, and put in fresh batteries (i've tried normal batteries and rechargeable ones) it will not turn on. I don't want to have to be plugged into a wall everytime I use this camera… So how to fix the problem?

Torn between Sony A5000 and Sony HX400V?

I am a casual photography enthusiast and currently own a Nikon Coolpix P500. I desperately want to upgrade but don't know which one to get! Main criteria is good quality photo. I do like the fact the HX400 has all in one and in one video I saw that it has a "peaking" feature when manually focusing. On the other hand A5000 has a much better image quality (I heard) but the lense that comes with it obviously doesn't give as much zoom.

I mostly use the camera when in vacation somewhere and hardly use my Nikon's 32x zoom. But it just feels more safe to have a zoom!

Can anyone please give me some suggestions? Thanks! :)

How to save a cropped image using Nikon View NX2?

I have a Nikon Coolpix L27 digital camera. I uploaded my images to the PC using the View NX2 program. I've cropped the image. I can't figure out how to apply the changes. I went to the help menu. It simply says to click apply. I can't find apply anywhere in the editing options. I've went under every tab. I still can't find where it allows me to save the image after being cropped. I've search on Google and YouTube seeking help. I haven't found anything about saving and/or applying changes after cropping an image. Can someone please help me? I'm very frustrated. Thanks:-)

Getting rid of date stamp on my pictures?

I have a Nikon Coolpix P520 and I've been searching through the settings like crazy to no avail. How can I make sure that the date stamp doesn't appear on any future photos I take?
