How many photos and hd videos can a 8gb sd card hold?

Hi.Im getting the Nikon CoolPix L310 for my sixteenth birthday in two months.Im getting a memory card with it too. I have never owned a camera before so I was wondering if you could tell me. How many photos and HD videos could i get onto the camera.

Best digital point and shoot camera for concerts?

I'm trying to find a good concert camera for low light conditions for when I go to rock concerts. I'm trying to decide between the Nikon Coolpix L810 and Canon Ixus, but if any of you has any suggestions for a good camera at shows, that would rock. I go to shows almost every month, so don't bother telling me most concerts don't allow cameras cuz they almost all do. I'm having trouble finding a camera with a good ISO and I suck at technical specifics with cameras. Thanks!

Need a camera that can take pictures of the night sky?

Hi I'm looking for a good camera that is able to take clear beautiful photos of the night sky, moon, stars and planets. I only have a Nikon coolpix so they come out pretty blurry. What type of camera will I need? Thanks

MorningLightMountain - wow you must think im an idiot? obviously i have a tripoid that i use.my pics come out blurry cause my camera is an L22 coolpix, which Caoedhen describes as not a good quality camera to use. If you stand there without using a tripod, they come out shaky.blurry is cause my camera can`t auto-focus on such far objects surrounded by darkness.

I wanted to mess around with lights and take some pictures but I'm not sure how to adjust the shutter speed :| Help?

Different sizes of SD Cards?

I recentally got a nikon coolpix l810 and i was wondering if that it depends on the size of the SD card (right now i dont have one) for the limit on the video it only lets me take a 30 second video if i get a bigger sd card can i take longer videos? thanks

I'm going to see The Script next Saturday at the Aragon Ballroom in Chicago, and I would love to take pictures but I don't know if they would let me take it in.It's not an SLR camera, just a point and shoot, but it looks really fancy.My mom owns a camera, but it's a really cheap one that shuts itself off after taking one extremely blurry picture. She got it wet that's why. But does anyone know the camera policy? I really want to take pictures!

Which Semi Pro Camera is Better (Nikon Coolpix l310 - Fujifilm Finepix s3300)?

I wanna buy a new semi professional camera .. i found these to camera ideal to my budget .. but don't know which one is better ..it seems like fuji has more options but someone told me that Nikon cameras are Better ..so I wanna know which one to buy .. :) and why ?
