What's a good starter digital slr camera?
I've been interested in photography for a while now and i love to take pictures with my Nikon coolpix s630, but i feel like it limits me. I want a good starter amateur camera. I don't care what brand it is. Do you have any suggestions for something not too expensive ( like $300-600) that takes really good quality pictures and is fairly easy to operate?

How to Charge a Digital Camera Without the Charger?
My sister has this big thing tonight and we need a camera. We have a Nikon Coolpix S310 and cannot find the charger. I've cleaned my whole room and looked all over but we cannot find it. You plug one end into the camera and the USB end into the wall charger. I've tried another cable from another old camera. It fits perfectly, but won't charge for some reason. Is there anything I can do?

Guide me in deciding a Camera?
I am confused among Nikon Coolpix P90, Canon Powershot SX20 IS, Sony Cybershot HX1.
My expectations are easy use, good quality pictures, battery life, vibration reduced pictures when capturing a moving object. I have read quite a few reviews about each camera and each of them promises to be a good one and value for their money.
My concern is shooting at nights and shooting at low lights as most of the camera fail during low lights.
Kindly suggest me!

NEED A REASONABLE HD CAMERA!
I was interested in starting photography. I'm not a professional, so I feel like I don't necessarily need an SLR or DSL camera. I want a camera with a pretty good zoom, phenomenal photo quality, but not over the top, and a camera that shoots in HD video. I was thinking about the Nikon P90, which has a 24x zoom, 12 megapixel, and standard 24fps video. Its still a point and shoot and I heard that the pictures can get a little fuzzy. Plus, it's not HD. On the other hand, I was considering the Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ28, which is 10 megapixel, 18x zoom, and records in HD video. I want something that's no more than $350. If you have any suggestions please let me know. And remember, I'm not looking for anything professional. Thanks! :D--->--<
By the way, here's the links to the camera's that I was considering;

My computer won't recognize my Nikon Coolpix S220 Camera?
When I connect the camera to the computer through the included wire, the computer doesn't even make the "two tone" sound that a piece of external hardware has been attached. It doesn't recognize the camera at all. It does not show up in My Computer either. I'm using Windows Vista Home Premium.
Another weird thing is also happening. I have 4 USB ports on my laptop and when I put the camera wire into a USB port next to the port where I have my external hard drive connected, the hard drive turns off. Is this whole thing a power issue? Is there too much power coming through this camera wire? When I try to insert the camera wire into the other USB ports on my computer, it just doesn't work… Period. Nothing goes off (like my wireless mouse), which is good i guess, but the computer still just doesn't do anything… Doesn't recognize the hardware attached, doesn't open auto-play, nothing shows up in My Computer, etc…
Please don't tell me to get a card reader as the solution please. I have about 5 pictures in the internal memory of the camera that I want to get off of it. This isn't a memory card issue. Also, there is no way on the camera to transfer from the internal memory of the camera to the memory card. Any other solutions would be appreciated… If there is one.
