Will my nikon coolpix l810 won't turn on?

My camera will not turn on and i'm assuming it is because the batteries ran out; I put some new AA batteries in but instead of turning on, the green light will turn on for a few seconds and the camera will turn off again.In the manual it says the camera uses 'LR6/L40' batteries, but the ones I have put in say they are 'R61 5V'. I have no idea what this means and i'd like to know why my camera won't turn on and if it has something to do with the batteries. Thanks for the help! :)

How to transfer pictures from a digital camera onto the computer?

I have a Nikon Coolpix S9050. I have never used a digital camera before, so I am totally new to this. I don't understand the instructions in the manual, because whatever I have tried so far hasn't worked. Can someone explain it to me in very BASIC English, since I really don't know what I am doing?

I have already installed the software (CD) that comes with the camera, so that step is done. From there, I don't know where to go and what to do.

Good point and shoot digital cameras under 200 dollars?

I'm in the market for a solid, durable, good battery life, sharp, contrasty digital camera that takes good video as well.My parents own a Nikon Coolpix, and I like just about everything about it. I have an older Canon Powershot, and I like it, except for the fact that it eats batteries like you wouldn't believe, and the pictures come out a bit washed out.
Any suggestions would be much appreciated. I don't know much about the pros and cons of Nikon, Canon, Sony, and Panasonic, and would like to learn more so I can settle on a good model that will last me several years.

I need a fast shooting camera with good zoom?

I have the nikon coolpix L810 and I paid 248 for it from amazon. And I messed around with it and it is super slow it takes about 8 seconds for it to focus and take a picture.It's terrible and it takes batteries witch sucks. I need a good camera with fast shutter speed good zoom cause the camera I have has 26 times zoom and it needs to be rechargeable. And it can't be a little digital camera I hate those I need it to have kinda the design of my old camera. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Macbook Air won't recognize camera?

My Macbook Air won't recognize my Nikon Coolpix L120. I finally found the cord and I plugged it in to upload photos from Easter and it won't recognize it, it doesn't even act like I plugged anything in. I opened image capture and it's not shown under devices and my computer doesn't have a card slot so please don't tell me to use that.
