Sony DSC HX50 vs Nikon CoolPix P600?

Hello! I'm in the final round of choosing the right camera for me, I'm mostly going to be using it for recording vlog videos (me sitting in front of the camera, talking). But also want it for taking pictures.
These are my two final choices.
I am super keen on Nikon having the flip out screen which will definitely come in handy but also have heard that Sony has got better picture / video quality… What do you guys think? Any personal experience?

Nikon Coolpix P500 timelapse video?

I own a Nikon Coolpix P500 and this camera is amazing! I love it, now my question is how do you do a timelapse video? I see them on youtube and they are using the P500 and they look amazing. I am not a camera wiz, so please be specific on how to do a timelapse video. This camera is just like a point and shoot but with a little kick to it! So please help, from the camera options I would have to adjust, to the video editing software. I have a Sony Vaio with windows vista, and it has windows movie maker, duh! So please help, thanks(:

Does a Nikon camera include the original version of a picture?

I took a memorable picture on my Nikon Coolpix AW120 and accidentally used fireworks scene mode. It s blurry and you can barely make out the objects and figures. Is there anyway I can change it or locate one without effects?
