What is the difference in 24fps and 30fps

I just recently bought a nikon coolpix B500 and it only records in 25, 30, and 60 fps. Can i still get the film look shooting at 30fps. I know to get this look most record at 24 frames per second. If i can't get the film look shooting at this frame rate then what can i do in the editing to get the look if i have to shoot at this frame rate. Can anyone help me with this?

Someone gave me a Nikon Coolpix p100 camera. However, the record button is missing. Is it possible to buy this part and fix it myself? I can find nothing online.
