I can't take pictures!

I have a coolpix, nikon camera. The button to take pictures isnt working.i can click it a little bit but it won't actually take a picture. Help!!! I also dont want to have to go get it fixed by a professional or anything. Please any options will help!!!

Lenses for Nikon Coolpix P7000?

This might be stupid because I don't know if I can even find anything like this for my camera. Anyway, I was wondering if there are any lenses for this camera that could provide sufficient zoom to take pictures birds or things of the like. Please and thank you for your suggestions.

How long is battery back up of nikon coolpix L28 digital camera while video recording?

Dear friends kindly tell me that how long the battery of nikon coolpix L28 digital camera will last if once charged full.i have asked this question to many people but no one is giving proper answer… as someone is saying that it will last for 25 minutes only at the time of video recording… someone is saying it can record continuous video for around one hour… hence please tell me what is battery back up of this digital camera at the time of VIDEO RECORDING… thanks a lot…

Why does my 4gb memory card record less than my 2gb?

I have a Nikon Coolpix L120 and I put in my 4gb memory card thinking I could record a long video. But even though the card is completely empty I can only record 4 minutes of footage. When I then put my 2gb memory card in I can record 30 minutes. Why is this?

First time photo shoot.?

Recently a few of my friends have asked me to photograph them and do a few photo shoots. 2-3 are asking me to do their high school senior portraits. I have done some portraits/candid photographs of a couple of friends for a course online and most people love them, but I'm still a little shaky about what to do for senior portraits besides what I have done with the ones for the online course. Any tips for this (poses, locations, things I would need, charging them for the pictures, ect)? Also, another friend has asked me to do a photo shoot with her and her boyfriend before they both leave for the military in a couple of months. Any tips for this too? Much appreciated if you could help some.No negativity needed.xx
*I'm not a professional, so I don't have all the resources photography places and free-lance photographers have nor do I have 95% of the equipment.

Steel wool photography.?

I'm trying to do steel wool photography and have a nikon p510. Can I use this p510 to capture a good photo of the effect? I know that I need 0 grade steel wool, a wish, lighter/9 volt battery, and and camera capable of taking this kind of photo.Is this camera capable? How do I need to setup my camera(shutter speed, lighting, etc.)? Safety tips? I do not have a tripod, what else can I use to hold the camera steady?

A beginner that could use some help with film cameras?

Ok so the story is i been trying to get into photography for over a year now.It's just a hobby i been trying to pick up. I Started out with a Nikon COOLPIX camera.It's a great camera but I am getting a little bored with it. The camera is only good for close range and you can't switch lenses. I decided to go onto eBay and buy a film camera for about $40, because I am a poor nursing student and I don't have the money to buy a $600 digital camera with longer lenses. Right now i have canon at-1, Minolta srt 201, and my uncle got me a Minolta maxxxum 5000i. Ever since I got them I've been trying to research them and So far i haven't had any luck. I decided to just wing it; I got 400 speed film 35mm.It seems that everyone was using 35 MM film so that's what I picked up. I have no clue if that was a good choice. I believe I spent about $20 on 4 rolls of film and I used one, took some pictures and of course me being a beginner; my pictures were not good at all.So that was another eight dollars down the drain. I was wondering if anyone has these cameras and could tell me what kind of film/batteries I could use? Where can I get cheap film? What's the cheapest place I can get my film develop? Through my research I read the beginners just keep the negatives and don't get the negative develop so you can save money and you can still see how your picture turn out. Not sure if that means I still have to send the film out to get the negative or if i just open the film up after I'm done. Any information would be awesome! Like I said Im a good beginner so anything would help! Thanks guys!

Which of these point shoot cameras is best for me?

I'm currently looking for a camera and I've basically narrowed it down to these 4. I need a camera that can take good quality pictures and I'm planning to use it on my travels to take pictures of people and different skylines.
