What is İSO Beginner photographer?

Well in university I'm going to take photography as a extra circular activity. (İn Turkey they have it, don't plan on making it my profession) but I want to learn stuff About cameras before starting the class.and I am slowly starting but I am having trouble, I have a Nikon L120 at the moment, and plan on either getting a Pentax k30(I think its a bridge camera) or a Nikon v1(milc) and I can't figure out what ISO means, and I would look online but I have a easier time learning from others, so can someone please explain to me in a nice and detailed version rather than giving me a wiki link?

Help using Nikon Coolpix AW110 abroad?

Nikon coolpix AW110 WiFi connectivity won't work abroad on WMU wireless mobile utility.any help trying to upload photos to internet, mobile phone won't pick up camera.

Does the nikon coolpix s3100 take good night photos?

I'm going to new york in august and i want to take some good night photos.my phone camera is nowhere near good enough so i want to get a camera.my brother has a nikon coolpix s3100 he doesn't use anymore.how good does it take photos in the night? if it doesn't take decent ones, what cameras that aren't too expensive or heavy do take good night photos? thanks.

How to turn ON the time/date stamp on my nikon coolpix s210?

I've been trying to do this for a few days now. I first tried to figure it out on my own, then referred to the user's manual. The manual gave no help: it merely indicates that a certain symbol means that the option is turned on. I need to know how to turn this on and off… 10 points for help :) thanks!

Why is Youtube not uploading my videos?

So when I plug in my Nikon coolpix camera into pc (using usb) And try upload the videos on there to youtube, it wont work and only comes up as an image file! Why is this? Why no video files for my videos? It comes up this video has failed to process is it because it comes up as an image file? it is wav or wmv or wam something begging with w anyway type file like.wmv HELPPPPPPPPPPPPPPP

Youtube wont let me upload videos?

Ok so i went to a concert the other night and want to upload my videos to youtube. I uploaded one from my ipod before but now im trying to upload some from my nikon camera l25 #2 and it wont work! i uploaded one before which worked fine but now not.It says The video has failed to process.It is an avi file so there should be no problems.It doesn't even load it comes up with processing 0% for a second then says The video has failed to process.i have tried to convert file into mp4 but that just comes up with this message; Your file conversion failed for the following reason:
Invalid data found when processing input.

whats wrong help i really need to upload these videos! X

How to film through a camera and see what I m filming on the computer screen?

I want to film (record video of) something and view it as a bigger picture through my computer screen. How would I go about that? I want it to be live video that I'm simultaneously filming and viewing it on the screen.
I also have a Nikon Coolpix camera S6500.

Seeking photography advise?

I'm new to the world of self-taught photography. I would never call myself a pro at what I do. I'm looking for all the advise I can get on how to improve my work. I don't think I'm horrible but I know there is major room for improvement. Someone already told me I need to work on my Composition and lighting. Please don't worry about being to harsh, I can take criticism. I don't use the best camera but for the time being its all I have, and I think it does a pretty decent job for a newborn. I have a coolpix L820. Please any and all advise and critism is appreciated. But please don't be mean to just be mean. I've only been doing this for 7 months. And I'm getting better everyday. Thanks in advance…

CCD or CMOS digital camera to buy?

I shortlist Nikon L820(CMOS) and L810/320 (CCD), Please guide me which one should be great choice in terms of relaibility and maintainnance as CCD provides a better image quality and low noise.while CMOS performs in low light or there is not so much defference in them. These model uses AA alkaline batteries.
