Best camera for under $200?

I am being paid for teaching a technology class at my school with a piece of technology under $200. I would love a Canon or Nikon. I have found several different cameras, but I don't know which are best. I am welcome to any suggestions. These are a few of the cameras I've found. Which one is best?

Nikon Coolpix 4.1 Touchscreen not working?

So my dads Nikon Camera's Touch screen isn't working. Like you see the Icons and such but you can't click them. Thats really the only problem. Im only asking this because he's blaming it on me: P And he loves that camera. Im thinking theres a trouble shoot to this but I might be wrong. Anyone… I mean anyone wanna help?

My camera doesn't charge!

I have a Nikon Coolpix but when I plug it the green light doesn't appear. The same happens when I plug it in my computer. The camera is relatively new and I don't know what to do. I also doubt the charger or the usb cable is the problem.

I replaced the usb adapter? What else could be wrong with it? Before it went dead it said battery exhausted should i replace it

The red flashing light on my Coolpix s230 camera?

When I hold down the button to take a picture on my camera, this little red light flashes in the bottom right corner. When it flashes, it doesn't let me take the picture. Also, there's a little red flashing picture of a clock on the right side of the screen, I thought it was a self timer but it's not. I can only take pictures in certain scenes and portrait, except they don't come out as good as the regular flash would. Does anyone know how to get the flash to work and stop the blinking light?

well, i have used it, then after i have taken picture, i came to recharge it but i kept flashing rapidly. It is nikon coolpix s4300
help me as i'm devastated. I i had it since a year and it is the first time to do so.
