Turn flash off on Nixon coolpix s6800?

I don't know how to turn off the flash. I think it has something to do with the dial on top. Sometimes it flashes and sometimes it doesn't. Also, right before I take the picture, there is a red light beaming out. What does that mean?

Why do these deleted photos still show up on my computer?

Every time I import photos to my computer from my camera (nikon coolpix s800c) these three specific photos continue to show up for import even though they have been deleted for quite a while. How do I get them to go away?

I do not use a memory card and I have since deleted all the photos off my camera at least twice.

I have tried importing and erasing them and choosing the "erasing after import" option but they still appear if I reconnect my camera to my computer.

I can't think of anything else to do to make them go away. Any thoughts?

How to convert QuickTime files to WMV?

I'm trying to edit videos on Windows Live Movie Maker but it wont accept videos from my camera because they are QuickTime files. Is there any way I can convert the files to WMV or change my camera setting to make them different files? My camera is a Nikon Coolpix L820 but my previous camera was a Fujifilm Finepix and the editor accepted files from that camera with the same memory card

I would like to purchase this camera, but don't know to well about cameras, as I only have a basic camera. I would use this camera for taking pictures of my kiddos, and to take outdoor night pictures (music band members) I would like to also know if they have a self timer, other than using your smart phone, as I saw in the video they demonstrated. Would this camera be good for beginners trying to take awesome picture?

Nikon coolpix s800c factory reset?

does anybody know how to reset the Nikon Coolpix S800c to factory settings? It locked up bc i forgot the dot pattern, so it asked for my google account and it says its wrong everytime i put it in. If anybody knows please help thanks:)

Can someone please point me towards a shutter trigger for Nikon Coolpix?

I have a Nikon Coolpix p510. The camera has a built in interval timer but for a minimum of 30 seconds. (30s, 1m, 5, 1h) which is not suitable for a regular time-lapse. I have looked high and low but cannot find anything compatible with this model. I'm hoping someone out there has found a solution as I would like to shoot by taking pictures not video.

Again, this is a Nikon coolpix p510. On a different not, does $130 seem too steep for the price for a macro lens adapter for this model? It is nothing but 1/3 of an inch metal frame with the lens in the middle that screws on the end of the metal tube of the camera. Seems rather pricey.
