Why does my Nikon Coolpix P50 keep giving me a Lens error message when I turn it on?

I have had so many problems with this camera! It takes great photos, but I seem to always have little glitches like this. Now, the lens is extended, and won't retract when I turn it off. Every time I turn it on, it acts normal for a second, then flashes the "lens error" screen. Anyone know more about these cameras?

And yes, I keep it in a case always, and the lens looks clean.It is is great condition, and I only bought it about six months ago.

How To Take Professional Looking Photos Of People With Nikon Coolpix L110?

I want to be a photographer when I grow up and i'm in 9th grade, i'm going to join photography club next year. I understand I need to learn more about lighting & settings but I want some tips or the best help you can give me. I love taking pictures, I think I am really good at it but, I just got this camera a couple days ago and can't take one good photo of a person that I like. The last camera I had was an Olympias & it wasn't even as good as the one I have now. Here's some pics from my old camera, these are the types of pics I am aiming for.

My Camera Charger Wont Fit Into The Camera!

I lost my camera (nikon coolpix) a few weeks ago, and i just found it. But when i tried to charge it the charger wont fit! its the right camera charger… im going to NY and Jersey soon and i need the camera to charge and upload! when i try to upload things the file wont pop up. ): theres a green blinking light at the top?
Added (1). I cant take it back, i gt it for chistmas and we threw everything away

I have a nikon coolpix s220 and I 2 gb memory card, this weekend I went camping and took pictures without my memory card, i cant get them on my computer without them being on my memory card because I lost the camera connect chord.is there any way I can get them onto my memory card?

Ok i i was taking picture's with my camera for a few days the the first time i changed the battery's it was ok then out of no where it said battery exhausted so i switched and i turned on it said the same thing not any of my battery's seemed to work for it so please Tell me how i can fix this problem

How to take good pictures with the nikon coolpix P90?

I got the Nikon Coolpix P90 digital camera a while ago and I've read the manual but I can't figure out how to use it to take good pictures. Reviews online say that it's a good camera and takes good pictures but I don't know how to focus it right or just how to use it. When I take pictures it looks funny or it's weirdly colored but with other people it's goood.

Does anyone know any websites I can learn how to use it, or if you have this camera how do you use the settings to take good pics?

Which camera takes better pictures, Canon PowerShot SD1100IS or Nikon Coolpix S550?

I've looked at samples and while the Canon SD1100 is great at capturing sharper details, I read an Amazon review that said that skin tones tend to come out orange and unnatural-looking, like these:
