Suitable digital camera for 10 year old?

My 10 year old is a responsible girl. She has been using my camera (a Nikon coolpix one, one of the older ones) for about 2 years now, without dropping it/spilling any thing on it, and I can see she's really into Photography and that. I feel she's ready for a more… professional one. I don't really mind price-wise, as long as its not too high of a price, as it will be her only christmas present as she'll hopefully really like it (aside from a few little things she wants). What camera do you recommend?
Added (1). She'll be 11 by the time Christmas comes.

Witch camera is better Nikon Coolpix?

Nikon Coolpix L810 16.1mp 26x

or

Nikon Coolpix L110 12.1mp 15x

I am looking at the difference between them for I am wanting to teach myself to take pictures of my kids and family. Witch camera would be better?

How many pictures will my 8GB Scan Disk card hold?

I am going abroad for 20 days and plan on taking tons of pictures. I have a Nikon Coolpix s6100 camera: 16.0 megapixels. Unfortunately my camera does not display how many pictures i have left until i have fifty or less left (!!) so that is very annoying not knowing.

Also, for image mode should I put it on 3m? 5m? 8m? i want to take as many 'good' quality pics as possible and not be worried.

Are FujiFilm Cameras good?

I want to buy a bigger camera, because I have a smaller camera (but it doesnt always work very well) and I was looking the other day at Canons and Nikons, but I noticed the Fujifilm brand. I started messing with the camera and I kind of liked how you can do panoramic pictures and the zoom and things. But is it a good brand? I dont want to make a mistake buying this camera if its not really that great. I like taking pictures of just about anything… Please help! Should I get the Fujifilm Finepix S8200 or Fujifilm Finepix S4830? PLEASE HELP.

How long can a nikon coolpix S230 record for?

I'm planning on recording me drawing a picture but the only thing i can use would be a nikon coolpix s230 camera.It would take about an hour. How big does the memory thing have to be?

Cameras at a concert?

I'm going to a concert at the Mandalay Events Center in Las Vegas and I just want to know if cameras are allowed to go in? Will security check my purse at the entrance? My camera is a Nikon coolpix l820 and not a removable lense, the concert is one direction.

Best camera? Opinions?

I want to get a camera, a light with small camera I can take anywhere, that fits in my purse & takes good quality pictures.
I was thinking of getting the Nikon one, but I haven't seen anyone with it & I'm not sure if t has good quality photos.

I already have a camera nikon l120 & don't like it because it's heavy, and the pictures are always fuzzy looking (yes, I know how to use it)

So, any recommendations for a good camera?

CHDK hack for nikon L22?

Im looking for a way to put the CHDK hack onto my nikon coolpix l22.or if there is another way to control shutter speed, aperture, exposure and all the other settings, if there is a hack or way to change this on my camera please tell me.im not looking to buy another camera, cause i dont have $2000 to invest in one.

I can't take pictures!

I have a coolpix, nikon camera. The button to take pictures isnt working.i can click it a little bit but it won't actually take a picture. Help!!! I also dont want to have to go get it fixed by a professional or anything. Please any options will help!!!
